Your route to totality

If you can come by car, do it — it's one of the simplest ways to reach the field. The site is about 2h40 from Madrid, 2h30 from Zaragoza, 3h30 from Bilbao, and 5h30 from Barcelona. From Madrid, take the A-2 toward Zaragoza, then the N-234 toward Soria. From Soria, Vinuesa is about 35 minutes north on the SO-840. Arrival, parking, and access instructions will be sent to ticket holders before the event.

Or skip the driving

Coming by public transport?

You can reach Soria from Madrid by bus or train. ALSA runs regular buses from Avenida de América, and Renfe runs trains from Madrid Chamartín. Both take around 3 hours.

From Soria to Vinuesa, local public transport is limited, so we are planning official festival shuttles from Madrid-Barajas Airport and Soria directly to the site. Shuttle details, schedules, and booking will be announced closer to the event. Sign up for updates and let the logistics come to you for once.

Flying in

The closest major airport is Madrid-Barajas (MAD), with international connections and the most practical onward options. Other possible airports include Zaragoza (ZAZ), around 2.5 hours by car, and Bilbao (BIO), around 3.5 hours by car and a good option if you want to turn the eclipse into a northern Spain trip. There is no airport in Soria itself. The sky is doing enough already.

Camping & accommodation

Where to stay

Bring your own tent

Walk-in camping is included with all festival tickets. Bring your own tent and set up in the general camping areas. If you are driving, car camping areas will also be available, with parking beside your pitch. Parking passes, access details, and allocations will be shared with ticket holders before the event. Campervans are welcome too, with dedicated areas available for a fee. If you plan to rent one, do it early — eclipse tourism will put pressure on rental availability in Madrid, Bilbao, Zaragoza, and across the wider path.

Choose a tent hotel

For those who prefer not to bring gear, tent hotel options will be available — pre-pitched and furnished tents in designated areas, with bed, bedding, and basic furniture. Details and booking will be announced separately. Space will be limited.

Hotels & off-site stays

Off-site accommodation around Vinuesa and Soria will also be in high demand. If you want a room, apartment, or rural stay, this is not the moment for your usual "I'll figure it out later" personality. Book in advance.

Practical field notes

Bring sunscreen and layers. Also, patience with your phone

The site sits at around 1,100 metres elevation. Days are hot and dry, usually around 30–35 °C. Nights can drop to 12–15 °C. Bring shade for daytime, a proper sleeping bag, and a layer for after dark. You may be in Spain in August, but the night still has opinions.

Mobile signal may be limited on site. Very on-brand for a cosmic reset, less ideal for finding your friends. Plan meeting points, download what you need, and maybe enjoy the rare luxury of not being reachable for a while.
