Far North Queensland
A week-long gathering near Cairns in the arid Far North Queensland bush. Five stages — Sun, Moon, Earth, Sky, Axis — and 30,000 people watching totality at dawn. The format that shaped every eclipse gathering since.
A Total Solar Eclipse Gathering
A consortium of producers and event creators who share a common vision: bringing people together to witness extraordinary natural phenomena.
While Iberia Eclipse is the first event created by a new organization, there has been a growing movement to produce arts and music festivals during solar eclipses over the past two decades.
We are honored to take part in this tradition.
One of humankind's greatest needs right now is connection. Connection to ourselves. Connection to one another. And connection to the Earth and our place in the cosmos.
Global Eclipse Gatherings are meant to create a container for a transformative experience — a community of people witnessing the most amazing thing visible to the naked eye, together.
It is through these experiences that we hope to create deeper connections to ourselves, to community, and to our place in the universe.
Seconds before totality nearly everyone began howling — 30,000 people suddenly sounded like 30,000 coyotes. Some burst into tears, others started laughing or embracing.Wild & Free Blog, Oregon Eclipse 2017
There is nothing like the spectacular phenomenon of a total solar eclipse. One part beautiful, one part mystical, and one part mathematical — a total solar eclipse inspires the mind, body, and spirit and demonstrates the elegant nature of our cosmos.
In honor of this, we have opened our doors to an international collaboration. Crews from around the world — fiercely independent and devoted to producing out-of-the-box experiences — are coming together for Iberia Eclipse 2026.
The goal is not to collect names for a poster. It is to create a new collaborative environment transcending nation, language, and creed.
In a fragmented world, creating opportunities for the gathering of community is the most noble task we can think of. We do so with the intention to create new relationships and partnerships, visions and ideas that none of us could have come up with alone.
The Global Eclipse movement has been growing since the early 2000s.

30,000 people on Big Summit Prairie. Seven stages built by 13 international festival crews across ten countries. When totality hit, the crowd fell silent — then erupted into tears and howling. The largest eclipse gathering to date.
Planned for remote Patagonia along the Catan Lil River. COVID meant the full gathering couldn't go ahead, but those who'd already made the journey to southern Argentina still witnessed totality together — a smaller, quieter moment under an open sky.
Reveille Peak Ranch, Texas Hill Country. Six stages, 400 artists, 1,200 acres. Severe weather cut the programme short, but the eclipse itself delivered — clouds parted just in time, and those on site shared a clear view of totality before the storm rolled through.
Iberia Eclipse 2026 builds on this legacy while adapting to the needs, scale, and sensitivity of Soria.
This is not a festival imposed from outside, but a shared effort rooted in collaboration with local institutions.
Iberia Eclipse is organized by a joint effort of Bachstelzen and the Soleclipse Crew, together with an international network of collaborators who have shaped stage identities and creative direction at past eclipse gatherings.
Our team includes experienced festival producers, artists, and community builders from across Europe, Australia, Japan, Mexico, and the Americas. Many have worked together for over a decade. Some are joining for the first time.
What has stuck with me wasn't just the image of what was temporarily in the sky that morning; what lingers most strongly is the shockingly intimate relationship I experienced to what was in the sky.Oregon Eclipse attendee report
Iberia Eclipse is a destination event. The site is far from major cities, surrounded by nature and open sky. Most people in attendance will travel a great distance and make a significant commitment to share in this experience.
These are the people we wish to gather with. Dedicated, authentic seekers of awe and truth and beauty.
This experience will see a coming together of people that will happen one time only — in alignment with one of the most spectacular phenomena anyone can ever witness.
